Once again, Rado has shown its innovation in design by leaving out something that would seem to be indispensable to a watch. The latest model has no crown in deference to the design and in homage to the consummate form. Without crown: the name of the new Rado 'eSenza' is derived from the Italian "e senza," which means "it is without."
Just as the rhythmic movements of the body in dance give expression to feelings, design not only reflects a functional form but expresses an attitude, a company culture. For Rado, good design means both the visualization of a concept and the outer expression of inner perfection. This is why Rado has dedicated itself to purism in the knowledge that "less often means more."
The functionality of the watch is, of course, ensured, even without a crown. The back of the watch contains two contact fields (plus/minus). Placing the magnetic element at the end of the leather strap into the appropriate indentation causes the hands to move in the desired direction.
