Hamilton Watches quality, precision, style and durability

The SSIH (the former name of Swatch Group), the world’s largest watch manufacturer, acquired Hamilton on May 16, 1974

Since 2003 Hamilton watches are fully Swiss Made  making the Hamilton brand vertically integrated within the

SWATCH Company

Hamilton only uses movements of the Swiss manufacturer ETA SA Manufacture Horlogère Suisse

  • ETA is a manufacturing company of the Swatch Group

  • It has been developing and producing calibres for the watch industry since 1793.

  • It uses unique expertise as a foundation for the ongoing development of new industrialisation technologies to create “Swiss Made” movements.

  • Precision, reliability and level of performance are the key features of ETA movements.

    SWISS PRECISION

  • 80% Mechanical  20% Quartz  15 Exclusive Hamilton Caibres

    Day Date Movements

  • Power reserve increased up to 80 hours

  •  Better accuracy

Worldtimer

  • Electronic caibre with the capacity to switch between Worldtimer functionality, embracing 24 time zones and automatic adjustment of summer-winter time

  • Pilot oriented chronograph mode

  • Coordinated Universal Time (UTC)

Chronometer grade

  • Must meet strict standards prescribed by the COSC.  Each movement is tested for 360 hours, in five positions and across with different temperature ranges and in  eight  different tests

Skeleton Movements

  • Skeletonized caliber with 80 hour power reserve
  • Luxury decoration: luminous snail and pearled finishes, Cotes de Genève detail 

Regulator Movement

  • Several different hand positions are possible

  • Hamilton currently has 3 different versions

Small Second Movement

  • Off center positioning of the small second counter at 8 o'clock/rotor largely skeletonized
